Mission Statement

WestCare Health System is committed to being the leader in providing quality healthcare and services and improving the health status of the people we serve.

Values Statement

As Employees of WestCare Health System, we adopt these values and definitions as fundamental principals which guide the way we do our work:

 Innovation is finding new and better ways to perform our work. We demonstrate innovation by constantly encouraging creative ideas and remembering that all ideas have merit.

Commitment is a pledge to achieve a shared vision. We demonstrate commitment when we know our goals and meet them by maintaining a positive attitude toward our work, our colleagues, and our customers.

Teamwork means working in unison to attain a goal. We demonstrate teamwork when we work cooperatively within and between departments to meet common challenges and goals.

Recognition is the acknowledgement of human worth and effort. We demonstrate recognition when we celebrate individual and group contributions to our health system.

Integrity is our firm commitment to a high code of values. We demonstrate integrity by our willingness to go the extra mile to correct potential problems before they ever become a reality.

Focus means training our mind and energy on our goals. We demonstrate focus by minimizing distractions and concentrating our attention on the successful accomplishment of our objectives.

Flexibility is being able to embrace change as a necessary part of growth. We demonstrate flexibility by constantly testing and implementing ideas that enhance our programs and services.

Respect is the willingness to treat our colleagues with consideration. We demonstrate respect by fully considering the ideas of others and displaying appreciation for jobs well done.

Communication is effectively transmitting the WestCare mission statement to attain the health system's goals. We communicate by clearly sharing all pertinent information with employees, between departments, and between employees and customers.

Excellence means being responsive to all the needs of our patients. Excellence is demonstrated by identifying patients' needs and satisfying them by providing necessary training and encouragement.
